Mpumi previously held the position of head of corporate affairs at the South African coal division of Anglo American plc. Prior to this, she was media and external relations manager at Anglo American Platinum Limited. Before joining Anglo American, Mpumi was head of communications at Sanofi. Mpumi has held leadership positions at various companies and has extensive experience in communications and brand management, reputation management, media relations, stakeholder engagement, socio-economic development and ESG strategic management.
